Carl's Place Impact Screen Material Guide

Choose the Right Impact Screen

Carl's Place offers four impact screen materials. Your best choice depends on your budget, desired image quality, room lighting, and how you plan to use your simulator.

Standard Impact Screen
A practical, budget-friendly choice for golfers building their first simulator. The polyester screen uses a more open weave and provides a durable hitting surface while keeping the overall enclosure cost down.

Preferred Impact Screen
A good balance between price and image quality. Its tighter weave and smoother surface provide improved projected-image clarity compared with the Standard screen. A strong choice for most home simulator installations.

Premium Impact Screen
Designed for golfers who prioritize projection quality and a more refined simulator experience. Its three-layer construction provides a smoother viewing surface and includes a noise-dampening center layer to help reduce impact sound.

High-Contrast Gray Premium Impact Screen
Designed for rooms where controlling ambient light is more difficult. The gray surface improves perceived contrast, producing deeper blacks and richer colors while retaining the multilayer construction of the Premium screen.

Quick Recommendation: For most home golf simulators, Preferred is a strong choice. Choose Premium when image quality and impact-noise reduction are priorities. Consider High-Contrast Gray Premium when the room has more ambient light.
